New favorite yarn February 3, 2012

I make a lot of baby sweaters and always aim for a yarn that’s easy to wash and dry because we all know about the things that come out of babies lol. I normally use Vannas choice which I still love but I have just found Brava from knitpicks it’s AMAZING it is soft and has many beautiful colors to choose from and the best thing is its only $2.99 for 100g what a deal. It comes in worsted (i’m using) sport and bulky. I started a sweater last night and here is a pic of the sleeve the colors are umber heather and tidepool so pretty.

My favorite pattern right now January 27, 2012

So one of my favorite patterns right now is BonBons by Susanna IC this pattern is amazing it’s very easy to follow and quick to knit up which are 2 things that I love about a pattern lol. You can find this pattern at either http://www.ravelry.com or http://www.knitpicks.com I have made several pairs and plan to make more lol I think I need these in every color lol.

New project pt 2 January 21, 2012

Ok so I finished my sweater and it’s so cute but it’s a bit tight in the lower body so now I’m trying to decide if it will be easier to lose a few pounds or rip it out and re knit with a few more increases I’ll keep you posted on the decision lol. We are having a very snowy weekend so I’m enjoying my flannel jammies and have traded my tea in for a rum and coke while knitting a super cute cabled poncho that was in the latest vogue

New Project January 15, 2012

I am super excited I am actually making something for myself lol I almost never do that. I found an adorable sweater pattern on Ravelry last week it’s called Emmaline by Jennifer Wood. I am loving this patten it’s very girly and easy to follow. I will post pics in a couple of days when it’s all finished. Ok I have to go knit

New Years Knit Wishes December 30, 2011

So I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how I can continue to expand my knitting business without having too much stress on myself at certain times such as Christmas lol.

I work a full time job and am a single mom so I already have tons on my plate my ultimate dream would be to be able to have a yarn shop and knit full time however I don’t see that happening any time soon but that’s ok.

Back to my resolutions lol I am going to try to get my etsy shop going and possibly a website so I can sell my knit items through there instead of craft fairs.

I would also like to find a company that I could order wholesale since the selection around here isn’t great.

Tomorrow I am going to organize my knitting room so I can enjoy going back in there instead of cringing as I walk past lol.

Any thoughts on how I can do these things would be greatly appreciated

Merry Christmas

Wow I can’t believe how long it’s been the year has really gotten away from me lol. I can’t believe it’s Christmas eve eve and I’m so excited.
For those that don’t know me Christmas is a HUGE deal in my house the countdown goes on for months lol this year I had the very best countdown calendar it was the 24 days of tea by Davids Teait was beautiful and I will be sad to open the last window tomorrow.
I am madly finishing the last of my orders and will be giving my poor achy hands a much needed/deserved break before I start the next batch lol.
Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas filled with family,love,food and of course some Christmas cheer.
